The 3-letter title was used as an identification code when Ushio the composer was composing the music and getting feedback in the movie production. Koe No Katachi menceritakan tentang tokoh utama bernama Nishimiya Shouko yang baru pindah sekolah. Nishimiya merupakan gadis yang berkebutuhan khusus sebagai penyandang Tuna Rungu.
